September 23, 1959 - October 7, 2021

Deborah “Debbie” Lynn Phillips Rogers, age 62 of Camden, Arkansas, passed away from this life on October 7, 2021, surrounded by family at her daughter’s home. She was bom September 23, 1959 in Monroe, Louisiana to Henry “Jr.” and Jean Phillips. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Steve Rogers; daughter, Shannon Elliott and husband, Jason of Camden; son, Kyle Rogers and wife, Amanda of Centerton, AR; stepson, Robbie Rogers and wife, Evelyn of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister, Kathy Pyle and husband, Ed of Grand Prairie, Texas; sister, Beverly Willis and husband, Danny of Choudrant, Louisiana; brother, Ricky Phillips and wife, Cindy of Choudrant, Louisiana; brother, Glenn Philips and wife, Diona of Downsville, Louisiana; sister-in-law, Deanie Tate and husband, Troy of Camden; brother-in-law, Randy Rogers of Camden; granddaughter, Bailey Elliott and grandson, Cade Mahaffey of Camden; granddaughters, Layla and Myla Rogers of Centerton, AR; step grandchildren, Olivia and Ethan Kidwell of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Debbie grew up in Choudrant, Louisiana. She was a 1977 graduate of Choudrant High School. Soon after, she met and married the love of her life, Steve Rogers, and relocated to Camden, Arkansas. She had a career in banking for many years, but in more recent years worked for FedEx Freight.

Debbie loved the Lord and her church family at Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Camden. Debbie had a strong Christian faith as evidenced by the way she lived life even through the adversities she faced. The saying “to know her was to love her” was true of Debbie. She was so loved by everyone in her life. She in turn loved her friends and family deeply. Her nieces and nephews knew her as a fun and loving aunt that spoiled them when they were growing up. Just imagine how much she loved and spoiled her own children and grandchildren! Her grandchildren were definitely the light of her life. Debbie was a lot like her mother in that she was a giver. She was devoted to helping others. One recent evening while surrounded by her family, she called her son-in-law over to make sure he gave a back brace that she never used to her brother-in-law because she knew he could use it. That was how she was, and a horrible illness didn’t change her giving heart.

She will be greatly missed, but we are thankful to God for the blessing of this wonderful wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, niece, cousin, and friend. We were all given a gift from God by having her in our life. We will cherish the memories that we have of her. The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, love, and support over the past couple of years. A special thanks goes to Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Camden; Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Choudrant, Louisiana; Dr. Braden, Christi, Connie, and the rest of the staff; Becky, Renee, Megan, and the rest of the Hospice team; those that served as sitters and caregivers, including special friends, Feleicia Walton and Kristen Elliott.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ALS in Wonderland Foundation in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Services will be held 2:00PM Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial in Bethesda Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00PM to 2:00PM at the church before the service.

Serving as pallbearers are her nephews: Jon Pyle, Jason Pyle, Matt Willis, Cody Phillips, Tyler Phillips, Dusty Phillips, David Tate, Scott Tate, and Zach Rogers.
