Rita Brennan, 87, of Little Rock passed away peacefully on February 29, 2008 surrounded by her family after a long battle with Alzheimer�s. She was born on February 23, 1921 in Williamsport, PA to James F. and Beatrice Gormley McCarthy. She was a member of Our Lady Holy Souls Catholic Church.
Rita spent most of her adult life in Washington, D.C. , where she worked for the Central Office of the Veteran�s Administration for thirty years. She was a kind, loving and gentle lady, a wonderful mother and sister, and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by two sons: Michael (Jody) Brennan of Little Rock, and John (Lorie) Brennan of Jacksonville; granddaughter: Jade (Jake) Brennan of Raleigh, NC; sister: Kathleen McCarthy of Little Rock; brother: F. Daniel (Shirley) McCarthy of Huntington Beach, CA; and four nephews in California and several great nephews and nieces.
