BENNIE ELLA JONES WARNOCK, age 100, was born Aug. 16, 1914, in Amy, AR, and was taken to be with her Lord on July 31, 2015, in Memphis, TN. Her parents were Samuel P. and Lula Gatling Jones. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 38 years, William Murray Warnock , and her siblings, Dola J. Dickinson of Chidester, AR, Doris J. Reiselt of Valdosta, GA, and C. Edison Jones of Camden, AR. Mrs. Warnock is survived by her son Michael and wife Kathy Warnock of Orofino, ID, and Clarkston, WA, and daughter Carol and husband Maxwell Williams of Germantown, TN. She leaves 5 grandchildren from PA, CO, ID, and WA and 6 great grandchildren, along with 1 niece and 3 nephews. She lived most of her life in Camden, AR, and spent 12 years in Moss Point, MS. The last 16 years she resided in Memphis, TN, living most of that time at Carriage Court Assisted Living. Bennie was a wonderful, happy homemaker who was devoted to the Lord, her family, many friends, and her church. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Camden and a former member of Dantzler Memorial United Methodist Church in Moss Point, MS, where a ladies circle was named in honor of her. She served both churches in several capacities, including offices in the Woman's Society of Christian Service and Sunday School. She also enjoyed participating in Bible studies and garden, cultural, and social clubs. Mrs. Warnock graduated from Camden High School. She was a registered nurse, having received an Associate Degree in Nursing from Perkinston Junior College in MS. A private graveside service was held August 4, 2015, with burial in Bethesda Cemetery in Camden, with Rev. Buddy Ratliff officiating. A memorial service will be at First United Methodist Church of Camden at 10:30am on Saturday, August 22, 2015, with visitation there at 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to: First United Methodist Church, 121 Harrison Ave. SW, Camden, AR 71701 or Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
