Fred O. White, 75, Camden went to be with the Lord July 23, 2015 in Little Rock, AR. He was a life-long resident of the Camden area. Fred was born October 26, 1939 in Ogemaw to Clarence and Willie (Green) White. He graduated from Fairview High School in 1957. Fred was a master in the school of life and the self-proclaimed Chief Instigator and Agitator.
Fred was a member of the Arkansas National Guard and he also served in the US Army where he served in Korea. He was a faithful member at Temple Baptist Church in Camden. He retired from International Paper after 37 years. Fred was a founding member of the Bethesda Fire Department where he served for many years. He was also active with Gideon’s International.
Fred married Shirley Jeanette McAnulty on September 29, 1961 in Camden. She preceded him in death in April 2014.
He is survived by his children, Terry White, Maryville, TN, Aundria (John) Rockwell, Enterprise, AL, Stacy (Lori) White, Kearney, MO; his brother Marvin (Kay) White, Bossier City, LA, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers JD and Chester White, sister, Hattie Laura Lewis and his grandson Joshua Hust.
Proctor Funeral Home in Camden is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 4-7pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2pm on Sunday, July, 26, 2015. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Gideon’s International.
