Virginia Ann (Sinclair) Alphin, age 82 of Old Union, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 4, 3013 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado. Virginia was born on November 26, 1931 in Lawson, AR to the late James D. and Alta (Jerry) Sinclair. Virginia was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and loved her family dearly. She was a longtime member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, whom was dearly loved and will be truly missed by all.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Virgil Sinclair, George Sinclair, Burney Sinclair and Dewitt Sinclair; three sisters, Mary Sue Alphin, Nora Knight and Gurtha Alphin; one daughter, Melba Ann Alphin.
Those left to cherish her memory include; her husband of 65 years, Robert “R.V.” Alphin of Old Union; one daughter, Evelyn Dorman and husband Herbert of El Dorado; one son, Troy Alphin and wife Katie of Magnolia; two grandsons, Steve Dorman of El Dorado and Josh Alphin and wife Abby of Magnolia; four great grandchildren, Ryan Dorman, Adam Dorman, Precious Dorman and Quinton Alphin; granddaughter in law, Griselda Dorman of El Dorado and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am today at Philadelphia Baptist Church near Old Union with Bro. Billy Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado. Pallbearers will be Jim Sinclair, Dan Bates, Jim Presley, David Sinclair, Jarret Walters and Randy Martisek.
