Laurel Frances Barry, 92, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. She was born February 1, 1925 in Green Bay, WI. She was a waitress at Pete’s Place and a member of Goddard United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Antoinette Dequaine, and her late husband Richard Francis Barry. She is survived by one son Jeffery Barry (Pam) of Alma, one step-son Michael Henry Barry of Iowa, four daughters; Diana Hutchins (Bailey) of Spiro, OK, Linda O’Brien (Pat) of Fort Smith, Judy Tuck (Ronnie) of Fort Smith, and Christine Maestri (Steve) of Van Buren, one brother Kenneth Dequaine (Grace) of Waupaca, WI, 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

You’ve always been that rock to hold us steady, the glue to keep us together, the wisdom needed to keep our paths straight, the love that knows no boundaries, and the reminder that with faith one never loses hope. Love Jesus, love your family, and love your neighbor. We’ve never seen anyone live this throughout life like you did. You love unconditionally all those that cross your path. We love you.

Funeral Service were Saturday, September 29, 2017 at Goddard United Methodist Church 1922 Dodson Ave Fort Smith, Arkansas with Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Jerry Eubanks and Rev. Kim Cloniger.

Pallbearers will be David Tuck, Steve Brown, Jeremy Barry, Caleb Maestri, Ryan Maestri and Jordan Barry. Honorary pallbearers will be the Susan C. King Sunday School
