Fred Brown Morris, 94, of Dover, formerly of Northridge, California, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2008, at his home.

He was born September 19, 1914, in Russellville to Walter Penn and Della Grace Brown Morris. He was retired form Lockheed Aircraft in Burbank, California. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ettabelle Chilton Morris; four brothers, Cecil, Henry, George, and Carl Morris; and three sisters, Margaret Grisham, Grace McBride, and Edna Clark.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Diane Morris of Dover; a sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Jack Tweedle of California; a sister-in-law, June Morris of California; a brother-in-law and his wife, Jimmy and Jane Chilton of Dover; a sister-in-law, Mildred Poynter of Dover; six grandchildren; one great grandson; numerous nephews and nieces; and special friends, Iva Lay and Leo Morse.

The funeral will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, November 13, 2008, at Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Chronister officiating. Burial will be in McFadden Cemetery at Dover under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

Active pallbearers will be Bob Morris, Bobby Warren, James Oliver, John Tweedle, Jeremiah Poynter, and Jody Poynter. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Chilton, Leo Morse, Jack Tweedle, Tim Morris, John Heinrich, and Robert Morris.
