Bonnie M. Boyd, 66, of Dover, died Saturday, August 6, 2005, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center at Russellville. She was born July 15, 1939, at Hayti, Missouri to Charles D. and Zella Bruce Wilson.

She was the owner of Bonnie's Beauty Shop at Dumas, Arkansas for 15 years and at Dover for two years before retiring to take care of her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, and "nana" to her family and a friend to all who she met. She was a member of the Tilly Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and three brothers.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, George L. Boyd of Dover; two daughters and a son-in-law, Bonita and Rick Pearson and Kim Patton all of Dover; three grandchildren, Chris Pearson, Bethany and Brittany Patton all of Dover; five brothers, Ray Gene, Norman, Ronnie, and George Wilson all of Missouri and Brian Wilson of Michigan; two sisters, Janey Barker and Faye Brainer both of Missouri; and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2005, at Shinn Chapel officiated by Bro. Eddie Rogers. Burial will be in McFadden Cemetery at Dover under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

Active pallbearers will be Steve and Eric Wilson, Bo and Larry Landers, William Tester, and James Fountain. Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald and Russ Fountain, Ozzie Picton, Curtis Shankle, Gerald Hurley, Greg Housley, Dude Godfrey, and Milburn Small.
