November 5, 1915 - February 1, 1985
Ernest R. Alewine was the son of John Thomas Alewine and Mary Elizabeth Hurst Alewine. He became the husband of Flossie Jones, daughter of Wesley and Ola Jones, of Oklahoma. They made their home in Pope County near Dover. Four children were born from their marriage: Gerald, Paul Edward, Ernest Lee, and Sue Alewine. Ernest passed in 1985. Census records indicate that he farmed for a living. His wife, Flossie, died in 1998. They are buried at McFadden Cemetery, at Dover, Pope County Arkansas.
