Ruth Radford, 83, a resident of Russellville, died Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 28, 1925, at Dover, to Clark and Josie Lou Donahue Radford. She was a Baptist and was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cecil Radford; a daughter, Mary Lou Newman; a son, Clark Radford; a grandson, Walter Radford; four sisters; and a brother.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Martin of Russellville; a sister, Ruby Taylor of Coal Hill; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2008, at the Shinn Chapel with Bro. Robert O'Brian officiating. Burial will be in McFadden Cemetery at Dover under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
Active pallbearers will be Paul Carolos Murphy, Charles Jones, J. R. Newman, Charlie Jones, Carl Wayne Gadbury, and Jagger James. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold James, Clark Davis, and Thomas J. Martin.
