December 21, 1940 - December 7, 2002
Patty Janette McCarthy, age 61, of Russellville, died Saturday, December 7, 2002, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. A daughter of the late Troy Verlis and Bertha Lou Garner Oliver, she was born December 21, 1940, at Chimes, Arkansas. She was an employee of Tyson Foods and was a Baptist. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Danny Walton. Survivors include three daughters: Kathy Stanley of Gage, Oklahoma; Dorothy Wheatley of Russellville; and Susan Walden Bryan of Stockbridge, Georgia; three brothers: Kenny Oliver of Dickenson, Texas; LeeRoy Oliver of Amarillo, Texas; and Bennie Oliver of San Francisco, California; a sister, Dora Bullock of Silverton, Texas; seven grandchildren: Twyla Condren, Joshua Stanley, William Smith, Miranda Edwards, Stephanie Edwards, Zack Walden and Corey Bryan; and two step-grandchildren: Dylan Wheatley and Casey Wheatley. Funeral will be 10 A.M., Tuesday, December 10, 2002, at the Shinn Chapel with Rev. Royce Knight officiating. Burial will be in McFadden Cemetery near Dover, by Shinn Funeral Service. Active pallbearers will be William Smith, Dylan Wheatley, Tim Jeffcoat, Josh Herdman and Doug Wheatley. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Stanley, Zack Walden and Corey Bryan.
