Lois Smith Milburn, 97, of Azle, Texas, formerly of Dover, Arkansas, died Friday, December 25, 2009, in Azle, Texas.

The daughter of Robert and Marcia Estelle Forehand Smith, she was born December 18, 1912, at Linker Mountain near Dover.

She married Robert Carl Milburn in 1935 in Detroit, Michigan. The family lived in Rector, Arkansas, from 1943 through 1958. She and her husband later retired to Mountain Home,Arkansas.

She enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening and painting. She was a member of Hatley Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Freed Smith, and three Sisters, Blanche Long, Evelyn Elliot and Parthena Wait.

She is survived by her son, Bob Milburn and wife Carolyn, Fort Worth, Texas; her daughter, Shirley Terbrueggen and husband Tom, Jerome, Mich.; five grandchildren, Debbie Krafft, Warner Robbins, Ga., Cathy Kingeter, Colleyville, Texas, Derek Meux, Roseville, Mich., Terri (Meux) Rogers, Shelby Township, Mich., and Renee (Meux) DeRuiter, Michigan, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at Hatley Missionary Baptist Church at Dover. Brother Tom Turner and Pastor Todd Brewer officiated. Burial was at McFadden Cemetery at Dover by Humphrey Funeral Service.
