SILOAM SPRINGS — Orley William Berry, 83, of Siloam Springs died June 13, 2005, at his home. He was born Oct. 20, 1921, in Hayes Center, Neb., to Isaac K. and Susan Isabelle Troxel Berry. He was a retired truck driver from Safeway and was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Lions Club and a life member of the VFW in Lafayette, Colo.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Velma "Vicky' M. Welk Berry of the home; two sons, DeLynn D. Berry of Centennial, Colo., and Max D. Berry of Evergreen, Colo.; two daughters, Lynda K. Young and Brenda J. Corners, both of Siloam Springs; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Myron Berry of Ogallala, Neb.; three sisters, Donna Ruggles of McCook, Neb., Marcella Peterson of Yakima, Wash., and Nona West of Lincoln, Neb.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs with Dr. David Bush and the Rev. Lance Rodgers officiating.

Burial will be at noon in National Cemetery at Fayetteville.

Velma “Vicky” Maxine Berry, 85, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died January 22, 2010, at Washington Regional Medical Center, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Born April 23, 1924 in Palisade, Nebraska, she was the daughter of Max J. Welk and Grace R. Meints Welk. She owned and operated Vicky’s Café in Broomfield, Colorado. Vicky was a member of the Hospital’s Auxiliary in McCook, Nebraska. On November 17, 1946, she married Orley W. Berry in Culbertson, Nebraska. She was a member of the Lutheran Church in McCook, Nebraska.

Vicky was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Dorothea Seifert and Ester Welk; and one son, Terrance L. Berry.

Survivors include two daughters, Lynda Young and husband Jim, and Brenda Corners and husband Ron, all of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; two sons, DeLynn Berry and wife Deborah, of Centennial, Colorado and Max Berry and wife April of Evergreen, Colorado; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Herman R. “Bob” Welk of Parker, Colorado.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with Dr. Randy Rowlan officiating.
