Thayer, Genevieve M. ‘Gen', Age 86, died on Wednesday, January 27. Born August 3, 1923 to Anthony and Henrietta Metrailer in Little Rock, Arkansas. Preceded in death by husband, John Ryan Thayer, Sr., and eight brothers and sisters. Survived by sisters, Lucille Kelly and Rose Hudgens of Little Rock; children: Ellen (Kevin), Yvonne, John, Maureen (Tom), Paul (Anne), Carolyn (Pat), Jill; grandchildren: Scott, Kevin, Rosemary, Erik, Kelly, Suzanne, Ellie, Katherine, Jay, Melissa, Maddi, Ryan. Married John Ryan Thayer of St. Paul in 1946. Resident of Edina 1957-1986. Retired to Bella Vista, Ark, 1986-2004. Our mom was vibrant, gracious and talented. She enjoyed acting, dancing, singing, gardening, travel, bridge and golf. We are grateful for the loving care she received at Providence Place in Minneapolis. Memorial Mass 10:30 AM Sat., Feb. 6, with visitation one hour prior at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 6730 Nicollet Ave. S., Richfield, MN 55423. Arrangements by Cremation Society of MN. Inurnment Bella Vista Cemetery. Memorials to CFCA or your choice, or do something kind for someone.
