ROGERS — On Nov. 29, 2020, Naoma Pool-Cope, passed away from complications with covid-19. She was 99 1/2 years old, born on July 10, 1921.

Naoma had practiced nursing in and out of hospitals where she worked for over 50 years. She will be remembered for her sharp mind, historical knowledge and fighting spirit.

She was preceded in death by husband Joe Cope, daughter Bonnie Abi Hanna and son Guy Cope.

Naoma is survived by sons Cam and Sherri Cope and Cliff and Carmen Cope; daughters Tammy and Wendell Evans and Shannon and Kurt Kruger; grandchildren Christie Busenlehner, Donnelle Zeamer, Trey Brant and Kathryn Feagins, Erth Sandoval, Skye Sandoval and Forrest Hair, Melissa Romero, Calvin Cope, Julie Gibson, Elizabeth Hart, Tabitha Cates, Tyler Cope, Kenny Cope, Kirby Cope and Beatrice Cope, Ian Evans, Seth Evans and Tyler Evans; and countless great-grandchildren.

No services will be held because of covid-19. At this time, she will be buried at the War Eagle Cemetery on Friday, Dec. 4, 2020. A memorial service will be held July 10, 2021. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations in memory of Naoma Pool-Cope, be sent to the Humane Society, 407 E. Nursery Road, Rogers, Ark., 72758.
