Juanita Watkins, 92, of Van Buren, Arkansas, died, Tuesday, April 13, 2010 in a local hospital. She was born November 4, 1917 in Fair Grove, Missouri.

She was a homemaker, a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, and a charter member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Van Buren. She was active in her church as a Sunday school teacher and pianist, she was an expert seamstress and quilter, and she also worked side by side with her husband, Ben, farming and raising cattle and tomatoes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Watkins; her parents, Mae & Orby Meals; and one son-in-law, Chick Shultz.

She is survived by one daughter, Maris Shultz of Van Buren, AR; one son, Neil Watkins of Van Buren, AR; one special niece, Sue Ellen Hall; 7 grandchildren, Vickie Nash of Van Buren, AR, Terry Shultz of Van Buren, AR, Dayna Black of Greenwood, AR, Laura Nolen of Van Buren, AR, John Watkins of Fort Smith, AR, Tawni Williams of Little Rock, AR, and Kent Clark of Clovis, NM; 13 great grandchildren, Justin, Jason, and Jeff Weaver, T, Ben, Keith, and Kevin Shultz, Ralph, Alexa, and Erin Black, Taylor and Hunter Grill, and Ryan Watkins; 10 great great grandchildren.

Funeral service was Friday, April 16, 2010 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Great Grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers were Glenn Henderson, Kirk Henderson, Jerry Breeden, Al Moore, and John C. O'Kelly.
