Cora Sue VanKirk, 76 of Van Buren, died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.

She ran a self-employed daycare and was a known as "Grandma" by so many, always loving and hugging the numerous children she kept throughout the many years. She was a wonderful cook, making everything she touched so delicious. She was a member of the Van Buren First Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by three sisters; Barabara Fatherree, Mary Oxley & Ruth Oldfield; two brothers, Roy Watkins & Lee Joe Watkins.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Mayfield & husband, Daniel of Cedarville; three sons, Ralph Roberts & wife, Sherry, Roy Roberts & wife, Sandra all of Alma and Sammy Joe VanKirk & wife, Janna of Rudy; four sisters, Clara Littlefield & Ethel Stephens both of California, Vivian Morgan of Claremore, OK and Minnie Mae Boyd of Pryor, OK; one brother, J.T. Northcutt of Pryor, OK; eleven grandchildren; Becky Mayfield, Julie Crabtree & husband, Will, Dana Goodman & husband, David, Tiffany Burris & husband, Doug, Brian Mayfield, Leslie & Laura Roberts, Lavina, Kandiss & Zane VanKirk & Shiloh Thompson & two great grandchildren; Emma & Gracie Crabtree.

Funeral service was held Monday March 14th 2011 at 10:00am at Ocker Chapel in Van Buren with Rev. Bobby Johnson officiating.
Burial was at Gracelawn Cemetery.
