Rena ALBRIGHT VERUCCHI

Memorial Gardens Cemetery
Garland County,
Arkansas

June 23, 1943 - June 27, 2018

Rena Albright Verucchi, age 75, passed away on June 27, 2018. She was born June 23, 1943, the daughter of Carl and Eunice Yates, Nashville, Arkansas. She was predeceased by her daughter, Shannon Lee Albright, and her husband, Salvo “Tony” Verucchi. She is survived by her son, Brian “Bee” Albright (Kala), her grandson, John Oliver Albright, her granddaughters, Lyndon Lee Albright and Madelyn West Albright, her four loving brothers, and their families.

The greatest legacy one can leave is the example of love for the Lord, family, and friends. Rena was that example to all who knew her. Her gracious concern for others above self was evident throughout her life. She never complained about life or its struggles. She lived it in a way that made it a little easier for everyone else.

Rena received her bachelor’s degree from Southern Arkansas University and continued her graduate accounting studies at National Park College. She worked 35 years as office manager for Charlie B. Jordan, Moman Bates, and Allen Tillery, where she was a member of the General Motors Business Management Association, receiving the #1 Accountant Award each year.

Rena attended St Mary of the Springs Catholic Church, and previously served as an officer for the Lakeside Booster Club, Women’s Resource Board (National Park Medical Center), and the Hot Springs Women’s Chamber of Commerce (President – 1993). Upon retirement, she served as a volunteer and board member for Jackson House.

At the age of 62, Rena was introduced to a new passion in tennis, where the spirit of competition was surpassed only by the cherished friendships established with her beloved “Tennis Peeps.” This special group of ladies supports and encourages one another on and off the court, and they stood with Rena as her fearless warriors throughout her illness.

Services will be held at Gross Funeral Home on Monday, July 2, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers are Moman Bates, Wibby Bell, Dick Jordan, Chuck Jordan, Bob Verucchi, Mike Verucchi, and Rick Verucchi. Honorary pallbearers are John Oliver Albright, Phil Yates, Charles Yates, Ronnie Yates, and Larry Yates.

The family extends special thanks to Arkansas Hospice, and requests that memorials be sent to the Jackson House in lieu of flowers
