Deborah “Debbie” Jean Surber, 63, of Jacksonville, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. She was born October 4, 1954 to Able and Rita Mello.

She is survived by her husband Jimmy Surber, her children, Jamie and Braden, her father, Able Mello, her niece Charlotte and one grandchild, Cheyenne.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 15, 2018 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home (501) 982-2136. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.

Jimmy Ray Surber, 66, of Jacksonville, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022. He was born November 12, 1955 in Texarkana, Arkansas to Arthur Elmer Surber and Vera Pauline Henson. Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife of forty-three years, Debbie Surber; father, Arthur Surber; and mother and father in law, Rita and Able Mello. Jimmy owned Sadlers’ Cleaners for thirty years. He also worked for the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office for fifteen years. Jimmy was a devoted caregiver for his wife after her stroke and loved her very much. Jimmy was a collector of many things and will be remembered as a loving son, brother, father and uncle.

He is survived by his sons, Able (Jamie) Mello of Coolidge, Arizona and Braden Lewis of Jacksonville, Arkansas; mother, Vera Henson of North Little Rock, Arkansas; brothers, William (Mike) Surber of Jacksonville, Arkansas and Randy Henson of Florida; sisters, Louise (Larry) Sellars of Vilonia, Arkansas and Jean (David) Foster of Little Rock, Arkansas; granddaughter, Cheyenne Mello of Coolidge, Arizona; nieces, Charlotte (David) Devoe of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Michelle Surber of Jacksonville, Arkansas; niece, Kristen Foster of Massachusetts and Wendy Sellars of Vilonia, Arkansas; Nephew Craig (Tina) Sellars of Vilonia, Arkansas; and many other relatives.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday February 17, 2022 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home, with visitation from 12:00 p.m. til time of service, followed by the committal at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements by Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home (501) 982-2136.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Able Mello, Braden Lewis, Jeff May, Ted Wilson, and Brian Bunting and as honorary pallbearers, Mike Surber, David Foster, Larry Sellars and Randy Henson.
