August 9, 1939 - June 26, 2008
Wanda Sechrest, age 68, of Russellville, died Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. A daughter of the late O. B. and Mildred Spencer Wade, she was born August 9, 1939 in Greenfield, Arkansas. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and a member of the Red Hat Society. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Collin and Kaylee Sechrest. Survivors include her husband, John E. Sechrest; a son, Edward W. Sechrest of Raleigh, North Carolina; a step-daughter, Rosemary Wright of McAlester, Oklahoma; two brothers: Ronnie Wade of Monroe, Louisiana; and Phillip Wade of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two sisters: Connie Lollis of Van Buren; and Elizabeth Alexander of Bourne, Massachusetts; a granddaughter, Kristen Sechrest of Raleigh; and a step-grandson, Greg Wright of McAlester; and many nephews and nieces. The funeral service will be at 10 A.M. on Monday, June 30, 2008 at the Shinn Chapel officiated by the Rev. Jeff Cheatham and the Rev. David McLemore. Arrangements are by Shinn Funeral Service. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon, from 2 to 4 P.M, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Baptist Children's Home, Post Office Box 552, Little Rock, Arkansas 72203.
