He was a graduate of Alma High School and retired as a painting contractor. He was a member of New Heights Baptist Church of Alma and a member of Fine Springs Masonic Lodge.

Mary Elizabeth Morrison, 81 of Van Buren passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 in a local hospital.

She was retired teller from Citizens Bank & Trust Company in Van Buren; a graduate of Alma High School Class of 1950. She was a member of the New Heights Baptist Church in Alma.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel Morrison, Jr.; both her parents, Theo & Mary (Jones) Cristee; one brother, Fred Cristee.

Funeral service will be at 11 AM Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home, Van Buren.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Mille of Fort Smith, Lisa Hatwig of Alma; one son, Rev. Jimmy Morrison of Rudy; one sister, Virginia Holleman of Fort Smith; one brother, Don Cristee of Alma; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Family will visit with relatives and friends Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 10:30 to 11:00 A.M. before the service.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Morse, Bradley Morrison, David Mille, Mike Hatwig, Jeff Hobbs, and Adam Mille.

Honorary pallbearers will be Harrison Hatwig, Emilee Hatwig and Sophie Morrison.
