Services for James Kil;gore, 72 years old Van Buren, Arkansas resident, were conducted Monday afternoon at the Wood Memorial Christian Church with the Rev. Jack Cutbirth officiating. Burial was in Gracelawn Cemetery with Edwards Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Killgore died Saturday at a local hospital after an extended illness. He was a member of the Christian Church and a director emeritus of the REA.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Betty and Donna; two sons; three sisters; a brother; and six grandchildren.

Clara Vivian Hays Kilgore was born May 1, 1902 in Crawford County, Arkansas to William Henry and Etta West Hays.

She passed from this life on January 27, 1994 in Van Buren.

She was a retired sales clerk for Comstock's Department Store and a lifetime member and choir director at Alexander Memorial Christian Church. She also was an American Legion Gold Star Mother, a member of Dorcus Society of Alexander and a correspondent for The Press Argus Courier for 50 years.

Clara married James Harry Kilgore on November 30, 1922. To this union was born James William Kilgore, John Hays Kilgore, Robert Edward Kilgore, Betty Jo Kilgore and Donna Kay Kilgore.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James; and a son, James Harry Kilgore. She was an American Legion Gold Star Mother.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty Wilmot of Van Buren and Donna Talley of Pryor, Oklahoma; two sons, John of Sweeny, Texas, and Robert E. of Pasadena, Texas; two sisters, Mary Deffenbaugh and Dorothy Vines, both of Van Buren; three brothers, Paul Hays Sr. and Donald E. Hays, both of Van Buren, and Hadley Hays of Jackson, Tennessee; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be David Edward and James William Killgore, David James, Dale Hays and Dennis Robert Wilmot and Paul Hays Jr.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. January 31 in Alexander Memorial Christian Church with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
