Mr. Louis Davis, Jr born May 16, 1929 in Camden, AR passed away on Saturday December 30, 2017 at Palmetto Health Tuomey, Sumter.
He served in the United States Army 1st Cavalier Division int he Korean War form 1951-1953 then later joined the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. During his 22 years of service he retired as a Staff Sergeant.
He was preceded in death by his parents Louis Charles Sr and Idell Anderson Davis.
Mr. Davis leaves to cherish his loving memories to his brother James Ray Davis; daughters Peggy Gill of Camden, AR, Venita Davis of Tyler, TX, Mary Jane Ragin of Sumter, Cindy Chiles of Los Angeles, CA, Marcia Major of Roanoke, VI, and Marilyn Duval of Riverdale, GA; sons Morris Workman of Washington, D.C., and Felix Workman of Rembert; three special daughters Geneva Murphy of Rembert and Essie Walker and Senora Little both of Sumter; and special son Hillard Osborne of Washington, D.C.; four aunts and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, beloved church family, Masonic brothers, military comrades and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12 noon Monday January 15, 2018 at Reddick Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Mt Hebron Cemetery with Military Honors.
Visitation will be held on Sunday January 14, 2018 from 3-6:00 p.m. at Reddick Funeral Home.
