Floyd - January 29, 1897 - September 9, 1976
Emma - December 18, 1900 - April 10, 1996
Floyd Doss Fincher, 79, of 660 Chestnut St., died Thursday. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Proctors Chapel. Burial will be in Columbia Cemetery near Waldo under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma Hudiburgh Fincher, two sons, Harold Fincher of Newport and Owen Fincher of Camden; three daughters, Miss Melba Fincher of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Emma Jean Anderson of Tuskaloosa, Ala., and Mrs. Betty Snelson of Fort Worth, Tex.; one brother, Oather Fincher of Camden, two sisters, Miss Steve Marlor of Buckner and Mrs. Clyde Butler of Quitman, La., 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Fincher was a member of the Church of Christ and owned and operated the Lions Station on Washington Street from 1938-1974. He was a veteran of World War I. (Camden News - September 10, 1976)
