Roy Loman Freeman, 71, of Alma, AR died Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith.

He was a retired police officer for the Fort Smith Police Department, a member of the Northside Church of Christ in Alma and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the Old Fort Gun Club, NRA, a ham radio operator and an avid hunter.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Freeman.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia; one daughter, Karen Fuller and her husband Edward of Mulberry; three sons, Ricky Freeman and his wife Jonnie of Alma, Kirby Freeman of Alma and Glen Freeman and his wife, Molly of Van Buren; three step-daughters, Sandra Manson, Shirley Caggiula and Barbara Connelly all of New Hampshire; one sister, Freda Valentine of Lincoln, AR; one uncle, D.W."Dub" Dean of Harrison, AR; fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Paul Linton, Paul McFadden, Paul Rivaldo, Cecil Marshall, Harley Thomas, Doug Hartman, Don Bergeson and John Miller; all retired Fort Smith Police Dept. Officers. Honary pallbearers were police offices of Sebastian and Crawford counties.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Ocker of Alma Funeral Home in with Grady Rice officiating. Burial was at Bolton Cemetery with military honors provided by the Fort Smith Police Department Honor Guard.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Freeman of the home; a daughter, Karen Fuller and her husband, Edward, of Mulberry; 3 sons, Kirby Freeman and his wife, Jackie, of Alma, Glen Freeman and his wife, Molly, of Van Buren and Ricky Freeman and his wife, Jonnie, of Ozark; 2 sisters, her twin, Brenda Jones of Grove, Texas, and Gail Green of Orange, Texas; a brother; Norman Duett of Port Arthur, Texas; 14 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren.

Linda Loyce Freeman, 64 of Alma, AR died November 25, 2006.
She was a member of Hwy. 71 Church of Christ in Alma and an agent for the Arkansas State License Office of Fort Smith for 32 years.
Preceded in death by her parents, Alvie Cecil and Hazel Marie Lomson Duett.
She was born September 30, 1942 in Port Arthur, Texas.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Freeman of the home; one daughter, Karen Fuller and husband Edward of Mulberry, AR; 3 sons, Kirby Freeman and wife Jackie of Alma, AR, Glen Freeman and wife Molly of Van Buren, AR, Ricky Freeman and wife Jonnie of Ozark, AR; 2 sisters, Gail Green of Orange, TX and her twin sister, Brenda Jones of Grove, TX; one brother, Norman Duett of Port Arthur, TX; 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tony Rupp, Joe Berard, David Kelley, Mike Hahoney, Dane Dugger, Ray Vines, Lee Waters
