HINDSVILLE — Denny Ellsworth Roles, 86, of Hindsville died Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, at Northwest Medical Center, Springdale. He was born Sunday, Aug. 5, 1934, at Hindsville, to Elmer Ellsworth and Vona Pearl Denny Roles.
Denny married Virginia Lee Roberts Roles on Wednesday Nov. 5, 1958, at Clifty, Ark.; and together they were parents to two children. He was a retired police officer, serving the city of Rogers for over 20 years. During his service, Denny had the first canine unit on the force. He was also an avid fox hunter and enjoyed being outdoors.
Denny was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia, his parents, daughter Sheila May, and granddaughters Alyssa Roles and Brittany Roles.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Dusty and Gabrielle Roles of Rogers; grandchildren Kyle Roles and fiancee Terissa Brown of Rogers, Lyncoln Roles of Rogers, Sayward and Josh Poertner of Cabot, Keysha and Billy Hudson of Rogers; and Ryssa May of Conway; and great-grandchildren, Ethan Poertner of Cabot, Noah John Poertner of Cabot and Talan Hudson of Rogers.
Graveside funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021, at Burkshed Cemetery with Max Bowlin officiating. Pallbearers will be Kyle Roles, Lynn Williams, Josh Poertner, Darrell Burk, Lonnie Burton and Clifford Burton. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.

Virginia Lee "Ginger" Roles, 79, of Hindsville, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019, in Rogers.
She was born Friday, July 12, 1940, in Rambo, to Henry and Verna Evans Roberts.
Ginger was predeceased by her parents; her daughter, Sheila Kay Roles May; two granddaughters, Brittany Roles and Alissa Roles; one brother, Jackie Roberts; and one sister, Linda Kay Roberts.
She is survived by her husband, Denny Roles of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Dusty and Kathy Roles of Rogers; two brothers, Harold and Bob Roberts, both of Garfield; one sister, Jodie Hooker of Tulsa, Okla.; sister-in-law, Nina Roberts of Clifty; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family received friends from noon to 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 7, at Brashears Funeral Home.
Funeral service was at 2 p.m., with Max Bowlin officiating.
Interment immediately followed services at Burkshed Cemetery in Hindsville.
Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
