TULSA, Okla. — Nadean McGuire was born April 2, 1927, in Barnsdall, Okla. Her parents were Leonard Tillman and Vera
Elizabeth Howell.
At a young age, her family moved to Woolaroc Ranch where she lived until she graduated from high school. After she graduated from high school, she moved to Bartlesville and went to work for Phillips Petroleum Co.
She married Donald Ray McGuire on Aug. 4, 1950, in Claremore, Okla. She had three beautiful children, and opened her home to many others which led to her nickname, "Mom McGuire."
She filled lots of tummies throughout the years with her delicious homemade bread, homemade butter, homemade ice cream, and yummy noodles. It should come as no surprise, her full, generous heart led her to always make extra to share with neighbors and those that needed it.
Nadean has a loving family that will miss her dearly: sister Deloris Sanders of Dallas, Texas; sister Wilma Schwenker of Hominy, Okla.; son and wife Don and Kathleen McGuire of Bella Vista, Ark.; son and wife Terry and Janeen McGuire of Eureka Springs, Ark.; daughter and husband Elizabeth and Joe Willis of Tulsa, Okla.; nine grandkids; 11 great-grandkids; and five great-great-grandkids.
Nadean was preceded in death by husband Don McGuire and her parents.
Nadean and Don helped coordinate and work on 30 various projects all over the United States for the MAPS RV program. They worked numerous hours building and remodeling churches, Teen Challenge Centers, and colleges. The legacy they left for their family is a challenge to be all God has created us to be and to serve God and others with all our hearts!
No public visitation is planned. A celebration of Nadean's life will be Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Bella Vista Assembly of God Church with Pastor Jonathan Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Bella Vista Cemetery.
