Shirlene McFadden, 81, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018. She was born to the late Lloyd and Mona Kennedy in Little Rock on December 6, 1936 and was raised by her step-father, Paul Duncan.
Shirlene is survived by her husband of 54 years; Julian McFadden, two sons; Michael Paul McFadden (Kit) of Florida and James Albert McFadden of Missouri, two daughters; Mona Lee McFadden and Julie Shirlene McFadden of Florida, one sister; Colleen Lemmonds, two grandchildren; Brittnie Melissa McFadden Travis and Kaliem Garza McFadden, one great-grandchild; Evelyn Rose Travis and one much loved Shih Tzu; Brutus.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one son; Lester Eugene McFadden, one brother, and two sisters.
Shirlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She was also a longstanding member of the Living Church of God and was alleged to be an excellent cook and housekeeper. She loved to watch the birds at her feeders while enjoying a “cuppa” with her sisters, was an avid college basketball fan (until her team was losing), loved reading mystery books, watching mysteries on TV and solving crossword puzzles.
One of Shirlene's greatest accomplishments was helping her children develop a strong,life-long bond that will be a part of her legacy.0054.
