Sarah Elizabeth Covington "Lizzie" Barker, 91, of Greenbrier, passed away Monday, June 13, 2005, at Conway Regional Medical Center.
Born January 22, 1914 in Sidon (Rose Bud), AR, a daughter of the late George Washington Covington and J. Della (Williams) Covington, she was a homemaker and a Pentecostal.
Survivors include one brother, Fadie "Boots" Covington of Rose Bud; four sons, Jewell Barker of Greenbrier, Lynn Barker of Conway, Glenn "Buck" Barker of Conway, and James Barker of Greenbrier; two daughters, Adell Banister of Greenbrier and Sharon Kay Harrison of Conway; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 1 ½ great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Wynn Barker, three brothers, Willie D. Covington, Burl Wesley Covington, and Johnny Robert Covington, two sisters, Eulie Felicia Covington Turner and Annie Viola Covington Nunley, and one infant sister.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Rev. Charles Banes officiating. Interment will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Romance, AR.
Visitation is Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Billy Banister, Donald Banister, Ronnie Barker, Brian Helfer, Joshua Helfer, and Kenny Wayne Barker.
