Mrs. Idalia Andrews died Friday morning in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Born in Pine Bluff, she was the daughter of Allen and Pinkie Williams. At an early age she joined St. John A.M.E. Church, Pine Bluff where she remained until she moved to El Dorado in 1923 she joined Lee Chapel A.M.E. Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. W. B. Ferguson. On Dec. 23, 1920, she was married to the late Rev. H. Andrews. Mrs. Andrews served in several places of distinction in the church; on the Episcopal level; trustee of Shorter College; conference level, recording secretary of the Missionary Society; district level; supervisor of the missionary work; local level; class leader, steward and at her death was a member of the Stewardess Board No. 1. Rev. and Mrs. Andrews were the founders of Andrews Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Lee Chapel A.M.E. Church, Rev. H. A. Shelton and Rev. W. H. Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Lott Burgy under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Her survivors include one brother, Allen Williams, Dequense, Pa.; and a stepson, Horace Andrews, Jr., Washington, D.C.
