*When Leola McNew was born on December 6, 1910, in Lonoke, Arkansas, her father, George, was 26, and her mother, Verta, was 24. She married Chester Polleon Walls on December 8, 1929, in White, Arkansas. They had two children during their marriage. She died on September 23, 1989, in White, Arkansas, at the age of 78, and was buried in Searcy, Arkansas.
