Wife of James Oran Pannell - Married May 8, 1946 in Prairie Co., Arkansas
Emma Pannell, of Griffithville, died on her birthday, Sunday, Dec. 25, 2005 at 79. She was born at Senath, Missouri to Samuel and Bertha Snelson. She attended Dogwood Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.O. Pannell; four brothers, Dalton, Paul, Bill and Page Snelson; and a beloved nephew, Byron Williams.
She is survived by a daughter, Jamie Southard and husband Gary of Griffithville; a grandson, Matthew Smith and wife April; three great-grandchildren, Grant, Kyler and Alissa, all of Searcy. Also surviving are two sisters, Cathron Reves of Griffithville and Iva Landis of Hanceville, Ala.; three beloved nephews, Edwin Williams of Gladstone, Mo., David McDonald of Hanceville, Ala., and Tony McDonald of Middleburgh, N.Y.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, at Dogwood Methodist Church in Griffithville with burial at Dogwood.
