Dean S. Roberson, age 77 of Kensett, died Tuesday in Searcy. She was born May 30, 1927 at Searcy to Thomas J. Shelton and Mary Hazel (Norman) Shelton. She was a member of the Kensett First Baptist Church and formerly worked as a bookkeeper for the White County Sheriff's Office. She is survived by one daughter, Donna Allison and husband Meredith of Kensett; two grandchildren, Kelly Johnson and husband Randy of Kensett, Meredith Lynn Steward and husband Daniel of Brawley, California; two great-grandchildren, Aaron Johnson of Kensett, Andrew Johnson of Kensett; one brother, Glenn Shelton and wife Louise of Kensett; and one sister, Ima Harrison of Kensett. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mary Shelton; Don R. Roberson, husband; and Gerald Shelton, brother. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 pm at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Pickens Chapel Cemetery. The family has requested memorials be made to the Kensett First Baptist Church Building Fund.
