*When Lillian Vernell (Hughes) Coursey was born on April 3, 1926, in Arkansas, her father, Julius, was 21, and her mother, Ardith, was 18. She married James E. Coursey on December 26, 1941, in Searcy, Arkansas. They had two children during their marriage. She died on July 3, 1978, at the age of 52, and was buried in Letona, Arkansas.
