*When Alice M Anderson was born on May 20, 1876, in Illinois, her father, James, was 23, and her mother, Ellen, was 22. She married Volney Lucas (1858–1934) on February 15, 1895, in Wabash, Illinois. They had nine children in 22 years. She died on April 24, 1970, at the age of 93, and was buried in White, Arkansas.
*When Raleigh Lucas was born in 1898 in Missouri, his father, Volney, was 41 and his mother, Alice, was 23. He had seven brothers and one sister.
