Dorothy Laverne Marshall Robinson Barnes, 82, of Greenbrier went to be with the Lord October 9, 2021. She was born January 31,1939, in Lonoke, Arkansas to Orville Scott Marshall and Lavene Valrie Blalock Marshall. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Greenbrier, was active in WMA, Clothes Closet, Shoe Box Ministry, and a Sunday School Teacher.

She was retired from Kroger after 32 years and a member of the Round Robin Quilting Guild in Greenbrier.

Dorothy was preceded in death by parents, Orville Scott Marshall and Lavene Valrie Blalock Marshall; sister, Ovella High; and daughter Rebecca Dixon.

She is survived by daughters, Carolyn Meredith of North Little Rock, Melva Smith (Ralph) of Mount Airy, North Carolina and Son- in- law Matthew Dixon of Greenbrier; grandchildren, April Meredith, Brad Meredith, Jeni Hill, Derek Miller (Callie); great Grandchildren Drake Adams, Brooklynn Meredith, Ireland Miller, Daxx Miller and Fynlee Hale; a dear friend, Marilyn Anthony of Greenbrier. Many step grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral Service will be Thursday October 14, 2021, 2pm at Bishop-Crites in Greenbrier, Arkansas with Brother Dewayne Thomas and Brother John Burleson. Burial will follow in the Republican Cemetery.
