Frank L Hilliard, Jr, resident of Slidell, LA for the past 55 years. He was born in Little Rock, AR May 22, 1923. Frank went to be with the Lord December 31, 2020 at the age of 97.

Frank is survived by daughter, Gloria "Jan" (Hilliard) D'Antoni, son, John Hilliard. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Vivian (Hilliard) Rye and Carolyn (Hilliard) Estelle.

In addition, Frank is survived by 5 grandchildren, Shelly D'Antoni, Kristin D'Antoni, Kelly (D'Antoni) Dean, Chris D'Antoni, Hope Hilliard, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Proceeded in death by wife, Billie Jeanne (Wilson) Hilliard, son, Michael "Mike" Hilliard, parents Frank L Sr and Hazel Jerrine (Cunningham) Hilliard, 2 brothers, Allan Hilliard and Edward "Ed" Hilliard.

He attended Arkansas Tech, Russellville, AR before serving the Army Air Corp in WWII.

Frank had been a Quality Control Engineer and photographer with Rockwell Rocketdyne at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi working with the Mercury and Apollo Space Programs as well as other propulsion programs.

Frank was awarded the Silver Snoopy Award by NASA presented by Astronaut Brian Duffy. Frank was an avid airplane pilot, photographer, water skier, roller skater and loved to tinker with cars or anything mechanical. He loved singing in church.

D.T. William Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy 41 Pearl River, LA 70452 will handle arrangements.

Family graveside will be in Knoxville, AR at a later date.
