Mary Ann Kennard, 96, of Jacksonville, passed away April 29, 2018 in Jacksonville. Mary was born and reared in Lexington, Massachusetts to the late Domenic and Lillian Belladonna Iovino. Mary graduated from Lexington High School in 1940 and Burdett Business School of Boston in 1941. She was a retired Federal employee having worked in several agencies before retiring in 1980 from the Treasury Department. Mary was an active member of the National Association of Active and Retired Federal Employees. Upon retirement she enjoyed traveling, gardening and volunteering. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kennard, Sr.; daughter, Lyn Marie Canon; brothers, Pat and Domenic Iovino.
Mary is survived by her son, Charles Kennard, Jr.; grandsons, Charles (Nicole) Kennard III and Edward Davis, Jr.; four great-grandchildren all of Jacksonville; seven sisters and a host of nieces and nephews all of the New England area.
Graveside services were 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park with Mike Alberson officiating. Funeral arrangements by Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home.
