Prairie Grove -- John Thomas Taylor, 88, of West Fork, died Saturday at a Fayetteville hospital. Born Dec. 8, 1893, at Hubbard, the son of William Harrison and Mary Catherine Spinks Taylor, he was a farmer and a veteran of World War I. He was a member of Friendship Community Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nettie Cobb Taylor of the home; a son, Cecil of West Fork; a daughter, Mrs. Cleolla Smith of Fayetteville, three grand-children and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will he at 2 p.m. Monday at Friendship Community Church with burial in Zinnamon Cemetery under direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.

WEST FORK — Nettie Mildred Taylor, 94, died Jan. 12, 2002, in West Fork. She was born on Dec. 14, 1907 in West Fork to Robert Lee Cobb and Winnie Mae Richardson Cobb.

She was a homemaker and taught Sunday school at the First Baptist Church in West Fork.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Taylor.

Survivors include one son, Cecil and his wife, Marcela Taylor, of West Fork; one daughter Cleolla, and her husband, Herman Smith, of Fayetteville; one sister, Hazel Chitwood of Roseburg, Ore.; one brother, Ray Cobb of Glendale, Ore.; two grandsons; three granddaughters; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Zinnamon Cemetery in West Fork with Gary Burney officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Zinnamon Cemetery Fund, c/o Farmers and Merchants Bank, P.O. Box 207, Prairie Grove, 72753.
