Peggy Joann Newman Sanchez, 58, of Edgewood, New Mexico, died October 5, 2000, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center at Pine Bluff.
She was born in Lincoln County on March 18, 1942, a daughter of Ralph Leroy "Roy" Newman and Joyce(Bolen) Newman of Star City.
She was a Catholic. She was a retail sales clerk and loved needlepoint and horses. She was the widow of Fabian(Junior)Sanchez, who died on July 22, 1999.
Other survivors include a Son; Daniel Ray "Dan" Sanchez of Edgewood New Mexico; Two daughters; Debra Sanchez and Janet Sisneros and her husband Michael Sisneros, both of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Three brothers; Paul Wayne Newman of Calmer, Arkansas and Melvin Newman and Kenneth Newman, both of Star City, Arkansas; and Four grandchildren; Joseph and Jordan Sisneros and Eric and Charlene Nusbaum.
Visitation will be at the Griffins Services Star City, from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday Evening, October 7, 2000.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday October 8, 2000 at Griffin Funeral Services of Star City, Arkansas with the Rev. Doney Blackerby officiating.
Burial will be in Newman Cemetery near Star City.
