Funeral services for Thomas Lee Ivy will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 11:0 0 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Hampton, Arkansas. Burial will be at Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Hampton, Arkansas with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ivy, age 86, of Meridian, MS, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Poplar Springs Nursing Center.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of WWII. Mr. Ivy retired after 30 years with International Paper Company. He was an active member, deacon, and Sunday school teacher at First Assembly of God Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Survivors include sons, Michael D. Ivy and wife, Becky of Rogers, AR, and Terry D. Ivy and wife, Sabina of Meridian; grandchildren, Lisa, Christi, Brandon, Tadd, Steven, and Cara; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brother, John Ivy of Hampton, AR; sisters, Ann Burson of Hampton, AR, Peggy Norman of Pine Bluff, AR, Bettye Murphy of Monticello, AR, Bobbie Sue Rogers of Hampton, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Ethel Ivy; and brothers, Buddy and Ginn Ivy.
