Havis Smith, age 78, of Warren, AR. died Wednesday January 27, 2010 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR. Born April 15, 1931 at Glendale, AR. a son of the late William Floyd Smith and Hixie Elizabeth Johnson Smith he was a retired plumbing inspector for the Arkansas Department of Health, retired owner/operator Smith Plumbing, member and deacon First Baptist Church. Also preceding him in death was a son James Russell "Rusty" Smith, granddaughter Janessa Smith, brothers James Alvin Smith, John Melvin Smith, sisters Lena Mae Miles and Effie Pearl Hale.

Survivors are his wife Roberta Savage Smith whom he married September 30, 1949. 1 son Rev. Roland Smith and spouse Phyllis, Crossville, TN., 1 daughter Linda Gail Gannaway and spouse David, Little Rock, AR., 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Saturday January 30, Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Greg Stanley and Rev. Roland Smith officiating. Linda Barrett was organist and Jeremy Busler was soloist. Burial was in Adams Singer Cemetery near Warren, AR. by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Jimmy Dale Camp, C.J. Ward, Doyle Gill, Delbert Zimmerly, Brett Hoffmann and Daniel Jarvis.
