Ruth Marie Harrelson, 86, of Ozark, AR, died Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in Ozark. She was a retired waitress and homemaker. She was born December 12, 1931 in Chickasaw County, Mississippi to James and Mary Huffman Hathcock. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Daniel and Charles Gore; a daughter, Gwendolyn Almond; a grandson, Rocky Stewart; a brother, James Hathcock; and a sister, Betty Stone.
Ruth is survived by a son, John Gore of Memphis, TN; a daughter, Linda Hart of Graford, TX; three sisters, Virginia Orman of West Point, MS., Louise Stewart of Greenbriar, TN., and Sybil Goodman of Memphis, TN.; thirteen grandchildren, Robert Stewart, Rita Jett and husband Carl, Rhonda Hayden, Rebecca Chatman and husband Tommy, Jamie Franks, Mitzi Baugas and husband Steve, Willie Franks, Wesley Hart and wife Colleen, Josh Hart and wife Shauna, and Sam, Josh, MaryAnn, and Christopher Gore; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday, August 9th at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark.
Graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 10, 2018 at Cecil Cemetery with Sister Jeanna Lewis officiating under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
