Elisa L. Hightower, age 71, of Batesville, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2007 in a local hospital. Born on August 28, 1935 in Spring Mill, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Earnest Howard and Pauline Willis Howard.

She was retired from White-Rodgers, the White River Medical Center and was a member of the United Central Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Terry Queary of Bethesda and Linda Gardner of Batesville; two brothers, Calvin Howard of Cushman and Allen Ray Howard of Beebe; two sisters, Anna Mae Brannon and Alice Faye Holowell both of Batesville; three grandchildren, Billy Queary of Bethesda, Michael Hatfield of Cushman and Lisa Barnett of Cave City; six great grandchildren, Jaysa Barnett and Carrissa Barnett both of Cave City, Tanner James Queary of Bethesda; Levi Hatfield, Landen Hatfield and Lane Hatfield all of Cushman; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services are Friday, August 17, 9:00 a.m., at the Willis-Hays Chapel in Batesville with Kenny Tharp officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery under the direction of Willis-Hays Funeral Service of Batesville.

Pallbearers are Willie Holowell, Chris Barnett, Danny St. John, Steve Queary; Billy Queary and Michael Hatfield.

Visitation is Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m.
