Memorial Services for Gladys Mae Richards of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Norfork Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, July 11, 2011 at Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
Gladys passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Baxter Regional Medical Center, at the age of 76. Gladys was born May 20, 1935 in Alexandria, LA, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Lillian Guillot Gillespie.
She married Donald Lee Richards on August 8, 1951 at Pineville, Louisiana. She was a homemaker. Gladys lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1982, moving from Pineville, Louisiana. She was a member of the Norfork Baptist Church.
Gladys is survived by her husband, Donald Richards, of Mountain Home, AR, 6 daughters; Susan Ann Butler, of Waynesboro, VA, Debra Lynn (James) Funderburk, of Woodworth, LA, Natalie Davis, of Forrest City, AR, Donna Lea (Robert) Duncan, of Pineville, LA, Siobhan Maria (Tony) Lyons, of Nashville, TN, Melissa Jeane Richards, of Mountain Home, AR, brother; Johnnie Russell (Leigh) Andrews, of Bull Shoals, AR, sister; Emma Ruth Gunn, of Shreveport, LA, 11 Grandchildren, 6 Great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Mary, and grandchild, Bryan Michael Richards Ober.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Norfork Baptist Church, 36 Second Street, Norfork, AR 72658.
Arrangements are by Kirby Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
