When Leslie Edward Peeples was born on August 29, 1901, in Webster, Mississippi, his father, Samuel, was 33 and his mother, Nannie, was 28. He had one child with Mary Marken and five children with Wilma Ruth Baker. He died on September 25, 1985, in Blytheville, Arkansas, at the age of 84, and was buried there.
