Dorothy Louise Martin Poole, 75, of Bradford passed from this life December 30, 2019 in Searcy, Arkansas. She was born in Bradford on June 2, 1944 to the late Harvey Jr and Fanny Posey Martin.
Dorothy spent nearly fifty years as a tax preparer and was so intelligent in her profession that there were instances that the IRS actually consulted her for advice on tax issues. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and a good Christian woman. She loved being a grandmother and she love the Lord and chose to worship Him in the Assembly of God church.
She is survived by the husband she kept in line for more than 51 years, James Poole; daughter, Melissa Jones and husband David; son, Marty Poole and wife Stacie; grandsons, Jonathan Poole and Noah Jones; brother, James Yates; and many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Bryan Poole; and a brother, Franklin Yates.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 6-8 at Bradford Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral service is Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Bradford Assembly of God in Bradford, Arkansas. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
