Fred Dixon, 78, of Stephens, died Thursday. Services were to be held at 2 p.m. today at the Stephens Methodist Church. Burial was to have followed in Shiloh Cemetery in Waldo under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home. Mr. Dixon was a member of the Stephens United Methodist Church and a retired employe of Berry Petroleum Co. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Eva Hudgens Dixon; eight sons, Jim Dixon of Blytheville, Joe Dixon of Lake Charles, La., William Dixon of Ft. Hood, Tex., Johnny Dixon of Shreveport, La., Tommy Dixon of Arkadelphia, Howard Dixon of Austin, Tex., Robert Dixon and Mark Dixon of Stephens; one daughter, Miss Nan Dixon of Stephens; three brothers, Otis Dixon, Delmer Dixon and Henry Dixon of Rosston; three sisters, Mrs. W. A. Tomlin and Mrs. John McGraw of Camden and Mrs. Dewey Rhodes of Rosston, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. (Camden News - November 28, 1975)
