Agnes Snyder, 94, of Newport, Arkansas, formerly of Helena, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Newport. Mrs. Snyder was born January 15, 1919 at Marianna, Arkansas to the late Claude G. Travis and the late Reba Welker Travis Snyder. She owned and operated O.M. Snyder Grocery Store for over 20 years in Helena, Arkansas.

She is survived by a son, Melvin Snyder (Patsy) of Helena; three daughters, Lola Snyder Powell of Newport, Dorothy Snyder Sanders of Helena, and Doris Snyder Ferguson of Dover, Ohio; five grandchildren, Mike Snyder, Tim Snyder, Brenda Powell, Werner Ferguson, and Cathy Ferguson; six great-grandchildren, Michael Snyder, Jr., Krystal Goss, Betsy Snyder, Christian Snyder, Ashley Campbell, and Matt Snyder; and three great-great-grandchildren, Zach Snyder, Carter Goss, and Aiden Snyder.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, O.M. Snyder; two sisters, Claudine Travis and Marie Copeland; and three brothers, Albert Travis, Jimmy Snyder and Milton Snyder.

A service for Agnes Snyder will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Reverend Joe Garner will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park at West Helena.

Pallbearers are Mike Snyder, Tim Snyder, Matt Snyder, M.J. Snyder, Derek Campbell, and Alton Yancey.

Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.
