Funeral services for Mrs. Daisy Whitworth of West Helena will be held this afternoon at 3:30 from the Chapel of Citizens Funeral Home with the Bro. Worley Ferguson officiating.
Mrs. Whitworth, who was 64, died Friday night at the Helena Hospital after an illness of several months. She was born in Conway County but had lived in West Helena for the last 26 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband Lester Whitworth of West Helena; two sons Carlon Whitworth of Memphis and Charles Whitworth of Sheridan, Ark.; three daughters, Mrs. Euleta Hughes of Dodge City, Kansas, Mrs. Thomasine Ray of Helena and Mrs. Floella Davis of Camaron Kansas; 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Oscar Bradshaw, Bud Alexander, Otis Terral, Otis Gregory, Herschel Ishmael and Marion Carruth.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park with Citizens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

WEST HELENA, ARK. - Lester Whitworth, 95, retired farmer and employee of Pecking Wood Products, died Wednesday at Crestpark Nursing Home. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Richmond Hill Church of Christ, where he was a member, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Helena has charge. Mr. Whitworth leaves three daughters, Euleta Hewes of Dodge City, Kan., Thomasine Ray of West Helena and Floella Miller of Montezuma, Kan.; two sons, Carlon Whitworth of Byhalia, Miss., and Charles L. Whitworth of Sheridan; two sisters, Eilene Perry of Detroit and Nona Arthur of De Witt, 22 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

When Clarence Lester Whitworth was born on March 26, 1898, in Solgohachia, Arkansas, his father, John, was 23 and his mother, Dora, was 19. He married on October 26, 1919, in his hometown. He had seven children during his marriage. He died on July 7, 1993, in Helena, Arkansas, at the age of 95.
